Srinagar: Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and Charar-i-Sharief MLA Abdul Raheem Rather on Monday held a public outreach camp at Banderpora Kremshore in Budgam district, where residents highlighted a range of civic issues.
People from Banderpora and adjoining villages raised concerns related to road connectivity, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare, education and other basic amenities during the interaction.
Rather assured the residents that their genuine grievances would be taken up with the concerned departments on a priority basis for early redress.
Addressing the gathering, he said Banderpora and Kremshore, which were brought under the Charar-i-Sharief Assembly constituency following the delimitation exercise, require focused attention and faster infrastructure development.
He said efforts were being made to bridge developmental gaps and improve civic infrastructure in the newly included areas, adding that public welfare and balanced development of the constituency remained his priority.
Residents expressed hope that the issues raised during the outreach camp would be addressed within a reasonable timeframe.
