Srinagar: Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU), an Institution of National Importance under the Ministry of Home Affairs, and the University of Kashmir (UoK) on Monday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic and research collaboration.
The agreement was signed at the office of the Vice Chancellor of the University of Kashmir by RRU Jammu and Kashmir Campus Director Dr Mahesh Tripathi and University Registrar Prof. (Dr.) Naseer Iqbal in the presence of Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Neelofar Khan and other faculty members from both institutions.
According to the universities, the MoU provides for collaboration in joint research projects, student and faculty exchange programmes, internships and credit transfer under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS).
The partnership will also cover teacher training, consultations and skill development in areas including national security, behavioural and forensic science, law, police administration, criminology and other multidisciplinary fields.
The universities said the agreement is aimed at strengthening academic, research, professional and extension activities through institutional collaboration.
