Srinagar: Founder and Chief Executive Officer of YourStory, Shradha Sharma, on Tuesday interacted with entrepreneurs and startup founders at the Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI), sharing insights on entrepreneurship, brand building and scaling businesses.
The interactive session, held at the institute’s Sempora campus, was attended by innovators and startup founders from across Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the gathering, JKEDI Director Mohammad Younis Malik said the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the Union Territory has been evolving steadily and urged startups to focus on long-term growth and sustainability. He said several startups from the region had emerged as job creators and highlighted the importance of interactions with industry leaders in strengthening the startup ecosystem.
Sharma praised the resilience and innovation of entrepreneurs from Jammu and Kashmir and said the entrepreneurial journeys emerging from the region deserved wider recognition.
She particularly emphasised the need to showcase women-led enterprises on national and global platforms, saying their success stories could inspire others. She also said YourStory was keen to highlight such entrepreneurial journeys to give them greater visibility.
The session concluded with an interaction between Sharma and participating entrepreneurs, during which they discussed their business ideas, challenges and growth plans. The discussion also focused on entrepreneurship, storytelling, brand building and business expansion.
