Srinagar: Several women from Parimpora in Srinagar joined the Apni Party on Tuesday during a function held at the party headquarters.
According to a party statement, the new entrants included Safina, Parveena, Lali, Zubaida and others.
The new members were welcomed by Apni Party’s Provincial President for Kashmir Mohammad Ashraf Mir, Women’s Wing president Dilshad Shaheen, Central Kashmir organiser Mohammad Shafi Mir and other party leaders. The programme was organised by party leader Sumaira Ji.
Addressing the gathering, Ashraf Mir said the Apni Party was committed to the political, social, educational and economic empowerment of women and assured the new members of the party’s support.
