Addressing the participants, Sharma said the expedition was a tribute to the country’s fallen soldiers and appreciated the women riders for undertaking the initiative. He said such programmes promote patriotism, discipline and social responsibility among the youth while strengthening the bond between citizens and the families of martyrs.

The minister also said the Jammu and Kashmir government was committed to encouraging greater participation of youth, particularly women, in sports, fitness and leadership-oriented activities.

MLA Nagrota Devyani Rana, who was present on the occasion, said the initiative promoted women’s participation in adventure sports while fostering patriotism and national unity. She also appreciated the efforts of the Shakti Udghosh Foundation in organising the expedition.

The organisers said the ride was conceived as a tribute to the nation’s martyrs and would be conducted with strict discipline throughout the journey.

Later, Sharma attended the release of a music video organised by Aakarshit Films Organic at the Writers’ Club, Abhinav Theatre, Jammu.

Speaking at the event, he highlighted the role of music, films and other creative arts in preserving cultural heritage, nurturing young talent and promoting the artistic traditions of Jammu and Kashmir. He also encouraged young artists to pursue innovation and excellence in the creative sector, the statement added.
