According to the police, an investigation was launched immediately after the complaint was received, during which investigators developed leads about the whereabouts of the girls. A police team was subsequently deputed to Punjab, where, with the assistance of the Punjab Police, the three minors were traced and recovered safely from Amritsar within 72 hours.

The recovered girls are being brought back to Srinagar, where the required legal formalities will be completed. Further investigation into the case is underway in accordance with the law, police said.

Jammu and Kashmir Police thanked the Punjab Police for its cooperation and assistance during the operation, saying the coordinated effort played a key role in tracing the missing girls.

Police also appealed to the public to promptly report missing persons or any suspicious activity to the nearest police station to facilitate timely action.
