Srinagar: Three delegations on Thursday called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed issues relating to religious tourism, community welfare and the promotion of the Hindi language in Jammu and Kashmir.
A delegation of the Baba Amarnathji and Buda Amarnath Yatri Niyas, led by its president Pawan Kohli, discussed the promotion of religious tourism in the Union Territory and also raised issues concerning the upcoming Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra, according to an official statement.
Later, a delegation of the All India Masih Seva Dal, headed by Camres David, met the Lieutenant Governor and projected various welfare-related issues concerning the Christian community.
In a separate meeting, a delegation of the Wadies Hindi Shiksha Samiti, led by its president Nasreen Ali, called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed issues related to the promotion of the Hindi language.
