Srinagar: Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Tirath Singh Rawat called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan on Monday.
In a separate meeting, a public delegation from Shopian, led by MLA Shabir Ahmad Kullay, met the Lieutenant Governor and raised issues related to the implementation of the Forest Rights Act and other matters of public importance, according to an official statement.
Meanwhile, a delegation of the Pahari Tribal Employees Welfare Forum, led by its president Khalid Mehmood Khan, also called on the Lieutenant Governor and projected various welfare issues concerning Pahari Tribal (ST-2) employees working in different government departments.
The delegation sought extension of reservation benefits in promotions and discussed other welfare-related concerns of Pahari Tribal employees, the statement added.
