SRINAGAR: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) will close admissions and re-registration for its July 2026 academic cycle on July 15.
The university has invited applications for undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, postgraduate diploma and certificate programmes offered through the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online modes.
According to an official statement, IGNOU has introduced several new programmes for the current admission cycle, including Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes (FYUP) in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. New courses have also been launched in Climate Change, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Criminal Justice Social Work, Geriatric Health and Care, and MBA specialisations in Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Finance Management and Operational Management.
Regional Director, IGNOU Regional Centre Srinagar, Dr. A.H. Rizvi urged prospective learners to complete the admission process before the deadline. He also advised eligible students to complete their re-registration by July 15 to avoid last-minute inconvenience.
Rizvi cautioned applicants against fraudulent calls or messages seeking payments through QR codes, WhatsApp or other social media platforms.
Meanwhile, IGNOU has established a new study centre at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), which will offer programmes of the School of Agriculture through the Open and Distance Learning mode.
