Srinagar: A delegation of the Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee, district Srinagar, led by its president S. Jaspal Singh, called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Friday and projected various issues concerning the Sikh community.
According to an official statement, the delegation sought the Lieutenant Governor’s intervention regarding the beautification of Gurdwara Chattipatshahi, Rainawari, the occupation of Gurdwara premises at M.R. Gunj and other welfare-related issues.
In a separate meeting, MLA Hiranagar Adv. Vijay Kumar Sharma also called on the Lieutenant Governor and discussed various developmental issues pertaining to his constituency.
The legislator also reviewed the progress of the proposed Shri Arun Jaitley International Cricket Stadium at Hiranagar and expressed gratitude to the Lieutenant Governor for his support towards the development of the sports infrastructure project, the statement said.
