MLAs, industry representative and delegations meet LG, raise development, industrial issues

Srinagar: Several public representatives, an industry body office-bearer and a delegation from Kulgam called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday and discussed development, industrial and public welfare issues concerning different parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to an official statement, MLA Vijaypur Chander Prakash Ganga discussed development works and public welfare initiatives in Samba district and sought expeditious execution of projects in the Purmandal block.

Chairman of the Federation of Industries Jammu (FOIJ) and President of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA), Tarun Singla, raised issues concerning the industrial sector and discussed measures for sustainable industrial growth in the Union Territory.

MLA Basohli Thakur Darshan Kumar submitted a concept note for establishing an Indian School of Pahari Paintings at Basohli in Kathua district.

A delegation from Frisal in Kulgam district, led by former District Development Council member Anayat-Ullah Rather, also met the Lieutenant Governor and projected development-related issues concerning the Frisal and Qaimoh blocks.

Separately, Acharya Swami Shri Jitendranath Maharaj, Peethadheesh of Shri Nath Peeth, Shri Devnath Math, called on the Lieutenant Governor at the Raj Bhavan. He was accompanied by Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board member Suresh Haware and members of Shri Devnath Math, the statement said.
