Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Indu Kanwal Chib on Friday visited the Shadipora Transit Camp to review preparedness and assess arrangements being put in place for the smooth conduct of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY)-2026.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner inspected various facilities at the camp, including accommodation, sanitation, drinking water supply, electricity, healthcare services, security arrangements and other essential amenities for pilgrims.
Emphasising the importance of coordination among departments, she stressed that all arrangements should be streamlined to provide a safe, comfortable and hassle-free experience to devotees during the annual pilgrimage.
Officers from various line departments briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the status of ongoing preparations. She directed them to remain proactive and address any gaps well before the commencement of the Yatra.
Indu Kanwal Chib reiterated that the district administration is committed to ensuring comprehensive arrangements for the successful conduct of SANJY-2026, with special focus on the safety, comfort and well-being of every pilgrim.
