RAJOURI: The anti-terror operation codenamed Operation Sheruwali in the Dorimal-Gambir Mughlan area of Manjakote sector in Rajouri district entered its 32nd day on Tuesday.
Security forces, including the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police, continued extensive search and cordon operations in the forested and mountainous region as part of the ongoing operation.
The operation was launched following specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of terrorists in the area.
Officials said troops have maintained a tight cordon around suspected locations while carrying out area domination exercises and search patrols to prevent any movement by militants.
The operation is being conducted with caution due to the difficult terrain and prevailing weather conditions in the region, officials added. (GNS)
