A deputation of Rehbar-e-Khel teachers also met the Minister and highlighted issues concerning their regularisation, service conditions and other long-pending demands. They urged the government to address their grievances at an early date.

Another deputation representing the J&K Wholesale Meat Dealers Association apprised the Minister of challenges related to the inter-state transportation of meat, including logistical and regulatory issues affecting the smooth movement and supply of meat into Jammu and Kashmir. The association sought measures to streamline the process and safeguard the interests of traders while ensuring uninterrupted supplies to consumers.

Several legislators, including MLAs from Kupwara, Langate, Beerwah, Lal Chowk, Chadoora, Khansahib, Rajpura and Sonawari, also called on the Minister and projected constituency-specific issues. They sought early completion of infrastructure projects, strengthening of essential public services, improved transport facilities, augmentation of sports infrastructure and effective implementation of welfare and development schemes.

The legislators also stressed the need for better coordination among departments to address public concerns and developmental requirements.

After hearing the deputations and legislators, Satish Sharma assured them that all genuine issues would be examined on priority and taken up with the concerned departments for necessary action.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to responsive and people-centric governance and emphasised the importance of timely grievance redressal and balanced development across Jammu and Kashmir.

The Minister directed officials to maintain close coordination with public representatives, regularly monitor developmental works and ensure time-bound resolution of public grievances. He said improving public services, strengthening infrastructure and addressing the concerns of all sections of society remain key priorities of the government.

The deputations and legislators thanked the Minister for assuring prompt consideration of the issues raised during the meeting.
