AWANTIPORA: As part of security preparations for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026 (SANJY), Police in Awantipora, in coordination with 50 Rashtriya Rifles and 185 Battalion CRPF, conducted a joint mock drill along the designated Yatra route to assess operational preparedness and emergency response capabilities.
The exercise involved the simulation of various contingency scenarios and was aimed at testing coordination, communication and response mechanisms among the participating security agencies.
Senior officers supervised the drill and reviewed the preparedness of the deployed personnel, besides assessing the effectiveness of the existing security arrangements.
The joint exercise reaffirmed the commitment of all security agencies to ensuring a safe, secure and smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.
