RPO Srinagar wins Best Passport Office award under Passport Seva Puraskar

SRINAGAR: The Regional Passport Office Srinagar has been adjudged the Best Passport Office for 2025-26 under the prestigious Passport Seva Puraskar, awarded annually by the Ministry of External Affairs for excellence in public service delivery and operational performance.

The award was presented by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar to B. S. Rawat during the Passport Seva Divas 2026 celebrations and the Regional Passport Officers’ Conference held in New Delhi on June 19.

According to officials, RPO Srinagar secured the top position by performing exceptionally across key parameters used by the Ministry to evaluate passport offices nationwide. These included operational efficiency, speed of verification processes, grievance redressal mechanisms and citizen-centric service delivery.

The annual Regional Passport Officers’ Conference brought together representatives from 37 Passport Offices across the country along with senior officials of the Central Passport Organisation to review performance and discuss service delivery initiatives.

The recognition highlights RPO Srinagar’s efforts towards providing efficient, transparent and seamless passport-related services to citizens and reflects its strong performance in public service delivery during 2025-26.
