SRINAGAR: Khyber Cement on Thursday celebrated Lavender Day 2026 at its Lavender Park adjoining the company’s manufacturing facility, marking the third consecutive year of the annual event that brings together industry representatives, government officials and members of the local community.
The celebration was held amid blooming lavender fields and was attended by Regional Director Kashmir, J&K Pollution Control Committee, Safeer Shah (DCF), Divisional Officer Srinagar, J&K Pollution Control Committee, Bilal Ahmad Khan, and other stakeholders.
The event underscored the company’s continued focus on environmental stewardship and community engagement alongside industrial development.
Organisers said the Lavender Park has emerged as a symbol of the coexistence of industrial growth and environmental responsibility, demonstrating how development initiatives can contribute positively to the landscape and character of Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Safeer Shah appreciated Khyber Cement for developing and maintaining the Lavender Park and commended the company’s efforts to promote environmental consciousness alongside industrial growth.
He also congratulated the company on being recognised as the Best Cement Brand of Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the achievement reflects its commitment to quality, leadership and responsible development.
Addressing the gathering, Director Operations, Khyber Cement, Riaz Tramboo, said the significance of Lavender Day lies in its ability to bring people together at a place where industry, nature and community converge.
