The winning team was felicitated by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam, who congratulated the players for their impressive performance and sportsmanship.

Addressing the participants, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the role of sports in channelising the energy of young people towards constructive activities and keeping them away from social evils, particularly drug abuse.

He said sports promote discipline, teamwork, physical fitness and a healthy lifestyle, and reiterated the district administration’s commitment to encouraging sporting activities as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
