Vice Chairman, JKLCMA, Khurshid Ahmad Shah, who attended the programme as chief guest, underscored the need for collective action to address environmental challenges such as pollution, climate change and biodiversity loss. He highlighted the important role educational institutions can play in fostering environmental responsibility among the younger generation.

Shah also stressed the need to conserve Kashmir’s fragile ecosystem, particularly its lakes, wetlands, forests and water resources. He urged students to adopt environmentally responsible lifestyles and actively participate in conservation efforts.

Watershed Manager (Project Officer), JKLCMA, Manzoor Ahmad Bhat, also addressed the gathering and spoke about the importance of environmental protection and sustainable resource management.

Students presented awareness messages focusing on environmental conservation, waste management and preservation of natural resources. Their presentations reflected a strong commitment towards building a greener and more sustainable future.

The school management appreciated JKLCMA for organising the programme and providing students with an opportunity to engage with critical environmental issues.

The event concluded with a pledge by students and participants to contribute towards environmental protection through responsible and sustainable practices in their daily lives.
