The event was attended by Muslim Wani as Chief Guest, while Gurnam Kour was the Guest of Honour.

Addressing the participants, the dignitaries appreciated the efforts of the Youth Services and Sports Department in creating meaningful sporting opportunities for young people and promoting the message of a healthy and drug-free society through sports.

They also lauded the efforts of Wali Mohd for conceptualising and successfully organising the historic tournament.

The speakers highlighted the role of sports in building character, confidence and discipline among youth, while helping steer them away from social evils, particularly drug abuse. They expressed hope that such innovative sporting events would continue to strengthen the sports culture across the district.

The tournament was organised in line with the vision of Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, whose focus on youth empowerment, grassroots sports development and a drug-free Jammu and Kashmir has inspired similar initiatives across the Union Territory.

The event was conducted under the guidance of Anuradha Gupta, whose support has contributed to strengthening sports infrastructure and expanding opportunities for young athletes.

District Youth Services and Sports Officer Wali Mohd reiterated the department’s commitment to providing a vibrant sporting environment and advancing the objectives of the Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyan. He said sports remain one of the most effective tools for promoting healthy lifestyles, fostering unity and developing responsible citizens.

The tournament concluded amid enthusiastic participation and appreciation from players, officials and spectators, reinforcing Rajouri’s emergence as a growing sporting hub and setting a new benchmark for future sporting events in the district.
