Anantnag: Amod Ashok Nagpure on Tuesday conducted an on-ground review of arrangements along the route of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026 in Anantnag district as part of preparations for the annual pilgrimage.
During the visit, the SSP inspected key locations along the yatra axis and assessed security preparedness, traffic regulation measures, emergency response mechanisms and pilgrim facilitation arrangements.
He directed officers concerned to ensure meticulous planning and seamless coordination among all stakeholders for smooth conduct of the pilgrimage.
The SSP also interacted with civil society members and local representatives at various locations along the route.
Discussions were held regarding arrangements for the upcoming yatra, local concerns and measures required to maintain a peaceful and conducive atmosphere for pilgrims.
Participants assured full cooperation in facilitating the smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.
Speaking on the occasion, Amod Ashok Nagpure said the successful conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra requires close coordination among police, civil administration and the local community.
He reiterated the commitment of Anantnag Police towards ensuring a safe, secure and hassle-free pilgrimage for devotees.
Officials said the visit was part of the district police’s ongoing efforts to review preparedness and strengthen coordination ahead of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2026.
