Sabiya Bhat previously served as Provincial General Secretary, Member State Committee and In-charge of Kupwara constituency in the Samajwadi Party. The new entrants belong to Batirgam area of Kupwara district.

Welcoming the new members, Altaf Bukhari said it was encouraging to see women in Jammu and Kashmir taking active interest in leadership roles and public issues.

“I extend a warm welcome to Sabiya Bhat Ji and her associates to Apni Party, and I am confident that these new entrants will further strengthen the party cadre in their respective areas,” he said.

Bukhari said the women’s wing of the party would play an important role in ensuring social justice and women empowerment in Jammu and Kashmir.

He added that the party would continue encouraging women’s participation in politics and public service.

Meanwhile, Altaf Bukhari reiterated his demand for dialogue between the Centre and the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the youth.

“There is no other option but to engage with the people of Jammu and Kashmir so that their genuine concerns and grievances are properly addressed,” he said.
