Srinagar: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperatives and Election Department Javid Ahmad Dar on Monday said the government’s prime focus was to ensure prompt redress of public grievances through responsive and people-centric governance.

During the meeting, the delegations apprised the minister of various issues related to road and street repair, transfer matters, irrigation water supply and other developmental concerns in their respective areas.

Javid Dar assured the delegations that all genuine issues raised by them would be addressed in a time-bound manner through coordination with the concerned departments.

He reiterated that grievance redressal remained one of the key priorities of the present dispensation and stressed the importance of sustained public outreach and direct interaction in ensuring transparent, accountable and efficient governance.

The minister said the Omar Abdullah government was committed to strengthening basic infrastructure, improving service delivery mechanisms and ensuring equitable development across Jammu and Kashmir.

He also directed the concerned officers to take immediate cognisance of the issues raised and initiate necessary measures for their early resolution.
