Srinagar: Scores of public and party workers’ delegations on Monday called on National Conference president Farooq Abdullah at the party headquarters, Nawa-e-Subha, and apprised him of various public issues and concerns.

Among those present during the interactions were Provincial President Showkat Ahmad Mir, Provincial Secretary Syed Tawqeer, MLA Haba Kadal Shameema Firdous, District President Srinagar Pir Afaq, Provincial President Women’s Wing Er. Sabiya Qadri, Provincial President YNC Mir Mushtaq and Minority Wing Convenor Sardar JS Azad.

The visiting delegations highlighted several public welfare and local issues during the meeting. Dr. Abdullah assured them that their grievances would be taken up on priority and addressed at the earliest.

He also urged party workers to actively engage with the public and encourage participation in the upcoming Census 2026 exercise to ensure accurate and comprehensive enumeration of demographic and socio-economic data across Jammu and Kashmir.
