Div Com reviews arrangements for NCC integration camp in Srinagar

SRINAGAR: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Thursday reviewed preparations for the “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” Special National Integration Camp being organised by the NCC from May 14 to 25 at BB Cantt Srinagar.

The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Director Tourism, Director Floriculture, Director Archives, Archaeology & Museums, SSP Traffic and officers from the Police Department, SKICC, Information Department, University of Kashmir and NCC.

During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed arrangements related to accommodation, transportation, traffic regulation and coordination for visiting cadets. He directed all concerned departments to ensure seamless facilitation, particularly during the cadets’ transit from Jammu to Srinagar and their visits to religious sites, parks and tourist destinations across the Valley.

Anshul Garg instructed the Floriculture Department to ensure smooth entry of cadets into the Mughal Gardens during scheduled visits and asked the concerned authorities to make proper transportation and traffic arrangements for excursions to Gulmarg and Sonamarg.

He further advised NCC officials to share detailed event schedules with all departments to facilitate timely arrangements and smooth execution of the programme.

The Divisional Commissioner also directed officials from Kashmir University and the Police Department to nominate subject experts for guest lectures on various themes during the camp.

Meanwhile, the SSP Traffic was instructed to ensure proper traffic regulation and route management for the proposed “Run for Fun” event from SKICC to Nishat Garden.
