Kulgam: A youth was found unconscious under unexplained circumstances at his residence in Malwan area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district and was later declared dead at a hospital, officials said on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Abrar Yaseen Malik, a resident of Malwan Bonpora. He was found unconscious at his home and shifted to District Hospital Kulgam, where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.
Officials said this is the second such incident reported in the district within the past 12 hours. Earlier, another youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his residence in Laroo area of Kulgam.
Tehsildar Pahloo Showkat Ahmed said that the autopsy of the deceased is being conducted at District Hospital Kulgam in his presence.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated investigation to ascertain the cause of death.
