The event was held under the leadership of Dr Naseem Javaid Chowdhary and under the guidance of Prof Sindhu Kapoor. Participants included representatives from all 20 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) across the Union Territory, along with teams from both SCERT divisional offices.

The session began with a welcome address by DIKSHA Coordinator SCERT Jammu Vivek Jandial, who outlined the objectives and stressed the need to enhance utilisation of the platform.

In her address, Prof. Kapoor described the initiative as a forward-looking step towards integrating emerging technologies in education and highlighted DIKSHA’s alignment with the National Education Policy 2020, promoting competency-based and learner-centric learning through AI tools and PAL courses.

The session also featured inputs from National DIKSHA Coordinators Prof Indu Kumar and Dr Rejaul Karim, who highlighted the platform’s role in shaping the digital education ecosystem.

Technical sessions were conducted by DIKSHA PMU members Abhinay Pratap Singh and Ankit Asthana, who demonstrated AI-powered features such as Ask DIKSHA (chat with books), video keyword search, read-aloud and translation tools, along with navigation of courses, PAL modules and coupon-based functionalities.

The programme saw active participation from the Kashmir Division, coordinated by Dr Amarpreet Kour, ensuring UT-wide engagement.

The event was supported by the SCERT Jammu team, including Reeta Charak, Dr. Bhuvi, Dr. Seema, Arsh Kour and Roopse Kapoor, and concluded with a vote of thanks to CIET–NCERT, resource persons, coordinators and participants.
