Srinagar: Preparations for the upcoming Census in urban areas of Srinagar are gaining pace, with the administration stepping up efforts to ensure smooth and efficient conduct of the nationwide exercise.
Principal Census Officer for Urban Srinagar and Commissioner of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Faz Lul Haseeb, has directed officials to intensify preparedness and strengthen arrangements for the implementation of Census operations.
As part of the preparatory phase, training sessions for Field Trainers are currently underway. The programme aims to equip trainers with the required technical knowledge and operational guidelines needed to carry out Census activities effectively at the grassroots level.
Officials said the training focuses on key aspects such as enumeration procedures, data collection methods, adherence to prescribed formats, and the use of digital tools to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability in the data.
Authorities added that administrative and logistical preparations are being reinforced across urban Srinagar to facilitate seamless execution of the Census exercise.
The ongoing training programme is expected to play a crucial role in building the capacity of field staff, ensuring that Census operations are conducted in a systematic, transparent, and efficient manner in line with established guidelines.
