JAMMU, April 23: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has begun preparations for district-level training camps under the ‘Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Prashikshan Mahabhiyan 2026’ following the successful completion of Mandal-level training camps across the Union Territory.
J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, along with BJP J&K General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul and BJP Abhiyan Prabhari for Northern Zone and MLA Dr. Devender Manyal, addressed a review and planning meeting at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
The meeting was attended by BJP J&K General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria and Gopal Mahajan, along with Abhiyan Convenor Parneesh Mahajan. District Prabharis, District Presidents, Seh-Prabharis, and Abhiyan Convenors and co-convenors also participated.
Detailed deliberations were held on the framework of the campaign, organisational strengthening, and the roadmap for upcoming district-level training camps under the second phase of the programme. It was noted that the first phase saw successful conduct of Mandal-level training camps across Jammu and Kashmir, laying a strong foundation for the next phase.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma said the core objective of the training initiative is to develop well-trained, ideologically sound and mature leaders capable of serving the nation, Jammu and Kashmir, and society effectively. He stressed the need to combine the experience of senior leaders with the energy of the youth cadre to build a dynamic organisation.
He also called for ensuring a plastic-free environment at all training camps, reiterating the party’s commitment to sustainable practices. Sharma further asserted that the BJP remains committed to strengthening grassroots democracy and empowering all sections of society, while criticising opposition parties for what he described as a lack of ideological clarity and commitment to nation-building.
Ashok Koul reviewed the Mandal-level training camps based on reports submitted by district-level functionaries and called for maximum participation of both senior leaders and youth cadre in the upcoming camps. He emphasized the importance of regular attendance, active engagement, and organisational discipline to further strengthen the party at the grassroots level.
Dr. Devender Manyal presented a detailed overview of the recently concluded training camps and outlined plans for the upcoming sessions. He highlighted the need to maintain high standards of quality, discipline and structured learning during the camps. He also emphasized the organisation of exhibitions showcasing the party’s history, developmental achievements and leadership to inspire party cadre.
