   MLA Gulmarg launches public outreach prog “Aapki Awaaz, Hamari Zimmedari”

Gulmarg: MLA Gulmarg, Farooq Ahmad Shah, today launched a public outreach programme titled “Aapki Awaaz, Hamari Zimmedari” with the objective of visiting every village in the Gulmarg constituency and listening to public issues at the grassroots level.

The initiative focuses on direct interaction with villagers to understand their concerns and ensure that genuine issues are addressed on priority. The MLA also urged people to educate their children, stating that education is the key to a bright future.

During the outreach visits in Kunzer and Wailoo blocks, people warmly welcomed the MLA and expressed gratitude for the major developmental work on the Kunzer Hardushoora Road, which has significantly improved connectivity and brought relief to the area.

Residents from the villages of Mulgam, Kralweth, Aatipora, Bewa, Bahrampora, and Chukar highlighted their local issues and appreciated the ongoing developmental efforts in the constituency. The villagers thanked the MLA for his continued public outreach and expressed hope that their remaining issues would also be resolved under this initiative.

Later, the MLA visited the PDD Workshop at Batpora to review the progress on the repair of damaged transformers. He directed the concerned officials to speed up the work and ensure that all damaged transformers are made functional at the earliest. He further assured that damaged transformers will be replaced within 24 hours to avoid inconvenience to the public.

The programme reflects the commitment of the MLA towards transparent governance, accountability, and work focused on public welfare at the village level.
