KPDCL announces power shutdowns in Srinagar, south Kashmir and Baramulla

New power curtailment schedule announced amid heat wave in Jammu

Srinagar: The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL), has announced a series of power shutdowns in parts of Srinagar, South Kashmir and Baramulla due to maintenance works on various 33 KV lines.

Power supply to Jamallata, Nawa Bazar, Zaina Kadal, Zal Dagar, Nowhatta, Nawa Kadal, Maharaj Gunj, Kaka Sarai, Maidanpora, SMHS Hospital and adjoining areas will remain affected from 3 pm to 5 pm on April 21 due to shutdown of the 33 KV Wanganpora–SHPora line.

Power supply to Shamsipora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 4 pm on April 23 and April 27 due to shutdown of the 33 KV Shamsipora Tap line.

Similarly, power supply to Qaimoh, Rampora, Mathalhama, Rahpora, Redwani, Kujar, Nowbal and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on April 21 owing to shutdown of the 33 KV Wanpoh–Qaimoh line.

Power supply to Qazigund town, YK Pora, Manzmoh, Nassu, Baitengo, Razloo, Chowgam, Khargund, Lamer and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on April 23 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Wanpoh–Qazigund line.

Likewise, power supply to Batagund, Lurgam, Nanar, Taki, Lam, Jawharpora, Aripal, Khangund and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on April 23, 27 and 29 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Tral-II line.

Power supply to Shanglipora, Danimar, Sangam and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on April 21 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Wanganpora–BAMK line.

Similarly, power supply to Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Maqdoom Sahib, Hazari Bagh, Jogi Lanker, JLNM Hospital, Kondabal, Hasnabad and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on April 21 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Wanganpora–Khaniyar line.

Meanwhile, power supply to Main Baramulla, Kanibagh, Microwave and adjoining areas will remain affected from 9 am to 3 pm on April 25 due to the shutdown of the 33 KV Baramulla-I line.
