The valedictory session was graced by the Director of Colleges, Higher Education Department, J&K, Prof. (Dr.) Sheikh Aijaz Bashir, who, in his address, emphasised strict adherence to traffic regulations and the adoption of essential safety measures such as wearing helmets and seatbelts. He urged students to act as ambassadors of road safety awareness and contribute towards building a more responsible and vigilant society.

The Principal of the host college, Prof. (Dr.) Seema Naz, in her address, underscored the pressing need to address the alarming rise in road accidents attributed to negligence, overspeeding, and distracted driving.

Emphasising that road safety is a collective societal obligation, she called upon the youth to emerge as responsible stakeholders and catalysts of change.

Prof. Aijaz Ahmad Dar, Convener, Road Safety Club, highlighted the significance of sustained awareness and responsible conduct in fostering a culture of road discipline. He reiterated that meaningful transformation in road safety can only be achieved through collective effort and informed participation.

The programme featured a series of inter-college competitions, including Elocution, Poster Making, and Slogan Writing, designed to engage students in creative and intellectual discourse on road safety. Participants demonstrated commendable insight, originality, and social consciousness through their performances and presentations.

In the Elocution Competition, Malik Mohd. Masnoon (GDC Shopian) secured first position, followed by Malik Haziq Mohiuddin and Majid Hassan Khan (GDC Ajas). In the Poster Making Competition, Najma Khatoon (GCW M.A. Road, Srinagar) secured first position, while Kaiser Rehman (GDC Handwara) and Safia Sajad (GDC Baramulla) secured second and third positions, respectively. In the Slogan Writing Competition, Uzma Yousuf (GDC D.H. Pora, Kulgam) secured first position, followed by Fakhr-Un-Nisa (GDC Baramulla) and Heeba Masood (Gandhi Memorial College, Srinagar).
