Bandipora: Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Indu Kanwal Chib on Wednesday visited the Gujjar and Bakarwal Boys Hostel in Bandipora and held an interactive session with students of Classes 10th, 11th and 12th.
During the session, the Deputy Commissioner encouraged students to ask questions and spoke in detail about career opportunities, leadership and ethics. Drawing from her own academic and professional journey, she urged the students to pursue their goals with dedication and integrity.
She stressed the importance of maintaining a balance between academics and sports for overall development and also underlined the need for regular mental health sessions in the hostel to support the well-being of students.
On the occasion, 13 students were felicitated for their outstanding performance in the recently concluded annual examinations.
The session was attended by hostel warden Bashir Ahmad Khan, Assistant Warden Munawar Hussain Lone and tutor Altaf Ahmad Mir, who also anchored and moderated the programme.
Students and hostel staff expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner for her visit and said the interaction served as a source of motivation and encouragement for the young scholars.
