Sudhanshu Dhama assumes charge as SSP Ganderbal

Ganderbal: IPS officer Sudhanshu Dhama on Saturday assumed charge as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal during a ceremonial function held at the District Police Headquarters.

The charge was formally handed over by outgoing SSP Khalil Ahmad Poswal.

On his arrival at the District Police Headquarters, Dhama was welcomed by senior officers of Ganderbal Police and was accorded a ceremonial guard of honour.

During the function, the outgoing SSP formally handed over charge to the new officer, marking the transition in command.

Soon after assuming office, Sudhanshu Dhama addressed officers and asked them to work with dedication and commitment in order to address the concerns of the public.

He stressed the importance of teamwork, transparency and maintaining a corruption-free environment in the police department.

The new SSP also directed officers to adopt a focused approach to curb the menace of drug abuse in the district.
