The programme began with an inaugural address by the Additional Superintendent of Police, Pulwama, following which a series of thematic sessions were conducted by senior officers.

Key topics discussed during the conference included investigation of cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, procedures for attachment of property in NDPS-related cases, cyber crime and its modus operandi, and investigation techniques in cyber-related offences.

The participants also deliberated on the implementation and significance of the Integrated Road Accident Database for better analysis and management of road accidents.

Discussions were further held on beat policing, communication skills and community policing, with special emphasis laid on engagement with local leaders to effectively handle and defuse crisis situations.

The conference was attended by Sub-Divisional Police Officers, Station House Officers, In-Charges of Police Posts, and officers from the Cyber Police Station and District Police Office Pulwama.

Police said such capacity-building initiatives are aimed at strengthening professional standards, improving investigative capabilities and promoting people-friendly policing across the district.
