District Admin Baramulla bids farewell to outgoing DC

BARAMULLA: A grand farewell function was organised in honour of the outgoing Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, at Dak Bungalow Baramulla today.

The farewell function witnessed an overwhelming gathering of senior officers, including DIG North Kashmir, Maqsood ul Zaman, SSP Baramulla, Gurinderpal Singh, SSP Sopore, Iftkhar Talib, along with all district and sectoral officers of the District Administration Baramulla, who assembled to bid a warm and respectful farewell.

Speaking on the occasion, DIG NKR lauded the outgoing DC for his exemplary leadership, dedication, and administrative acumen, describing his tenure as marked by professionalism, integrity, and people-centric governance.

SSP Baramulla and SSP Sopore appreciated the close coordination between the civil and police administration during Minga Sherpa’s tenure and noted that the outgoing DC always prioritised transparency, teamwork, and swift decision-making, which contributed immensely in maintaining law and order.

The officers from the civil administration also spoke on the occasion and praised the outgoing DC for rendering exemplary service during his tenure as Deputy Commissioner Baramulla. They congratulated him on his successful stint and wished him the very best of luck for his future assignments.

In his address, Minga Sherpa expressed heartfelt gratitude to the officers and officials of the district administration, the police department, and other line departments for their unwavering cooperation and teamwork.

He especially thanked the people of Baramulla for their constant support, trust, and active participation in developmental initiatives, stating that their faith and encouragement remained his greatest strength throughout his tenure.

Meanwhile, during the day, members of civil society from various parts of the district visited the DC Office Baramulla to personally express their gratitude in acknowledgement of his responsive administration and extend best wishes for his future endeavours.
