   Ravinder Raina, Awardee Teachers call on LG Sinha

JAMMU: Senior BJP leader and former MLA Ravinder Raina today called on Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and discussed a range of public issues, with a particular focus on the development of key religious and heritage sites.

During the meeting at Raj Bhavan, Raina highlighted the importance of promoting religious and border tourism through the development of prominent shrines, including Baba Naar Singh Ji Dev Sthan at Lamberi in Nowshera, Mangla Mata Shrine and Mangla Devi Fort and Temple, as well as Peer Badesar shrine near the Line of Control in Rajouri. He underscored the need for improved infrastructure and facilities at these sites to boost tourism and support local livelihoods.

On the same day, a delegation of National and UT Awardee Teachers from Jammu and Kashmir, led by Veena Koul, also called on the Lieutenant Governor. The delegation shared their experiences and insights related to education and teaching practices in the region, and discussed issues concerning the academic ecosystem and the role of teachers in shaping future generations.

The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the contributions of educators to society and assured both delegations that the administration remains committed to inclusive development, preservation of cultural and religious heritage, and strengthening the education sector across Jammu and Kashmir.
