Srinagar: Police in Shopian recovered a “significant quantity” of contraband substance from a residential house in Barbugh Imamsahib and arrested the accused person.
Acting on specific information, a police spokesperson said that, accompanied by the Tehsildar Barbugh, a police party raided the residential premises of Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday at Barbugh. During the search, 20.720 kgs of cannabis and 130 grams of cannabis-like substance were recovered from the residential house. The accused has been arrested, and further investigation is underway.
