Srinagar: Oil Marketing Companies on Friday said that adequate stocks of petrol, diesel and LPG are available across Jammu and Kashmir and urged consumers not to indulge in panic buying.
According to Himanshu Sharma, the stock position of Motor Spirit and High-Speed Diesel remains normal across the Union Territory, with OMC depots and retail outlets maintaining sufficient inventory for uninterrupted supply.
He said LPG stocks at bottling plants are also comfortable and are being maintained in accordance with prescribed norms, with regular replenishment underway.
Sharma said Oil Marketing Companies are closely monitoring the situation and have taken necessary steps to streamline logistics and speed up deliveries to ensure uninterrupted availability of fuel and LPG.
Consumers have been advised to avoid panic purchasing, as there is no shortage of petroleum products or LPG in Jammu and Kashmir, he added.
LPG consumers have also been asked to use digital modes for booking cylinders and verify deliveries through the Delivery Authentication Code system to ensure transparency and timely supply.
Oil Marketing Companies appealed to the public to cooperate in maintaining smooth distribution of fuel and LPG across the Union Territory.
