Srinagar: Dr Tasaduk Hussain Itoo, a distinguished J & K doctor, public health expert, medical educator, and writer, has been elected as a Member of the prestigious Royal Society of Biology (MRSB), London, United Kingdom.

The election to full membership was granted to Dr Itoo by the Council’s decision on January 1st 2026. The recognition is bestowed to individuals whom the Royal Society of Biology has adjudged to have made a significant contribution to the advancement of life sciences.

Dr. Itoo’s recognition reflects his continued scholarly contributions in antimicrobial stewardship, vector-borne diseases, and academic writing on life sciences. By this honour, Dr Itoo became officially entitled to use the post-nominal letters ‘MRSB(UK)’.

Pertinently, Dr Itoo holds several other notable international distinctions, including Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (FRSPH, UK); Fellow of the International Diabetes Federation (IDF Fellow, Belgium); Member of the Academy of Medical Educators (MAcadMEd, UK) and International Practitioner of the UK Faculty of Public Health (IPFPH, UK). He is also a member of leading global medical organizations including the American College of Physicians(ACP, USA) and Research Society for the Study of Diabetes in India (RSSDI).
