Among them is Insha Rasool, a 23-year-old professional makeup artist from Hathlangoo area of Sopore, who recently received the Best Makeup Artist Award 2025 at an award function organised by Brand Talk Exhibitions in New Delhi.

The award ceremony was held alongside a one-day makeup seminar at SK Precious Banquet, Janakpuri West, and witnessed participation from beauty professionals across different parts of the country. The event was attended by several industry figures, including television personality Sana Sultan.

Insha runs Elegant Salon in downtown Sopore and works in professional and event-based makeup. She has completed advanced training from the NIIB International Institution, Chandigarh, and has also pursued higher education, including college-level studies and nursing coursework.

According to the organisers, the award was conferred in recognition of her work quality, consistency, and growing presence in the beauty and wellness sector. Her professional portfolio is available on social media under the handle @Makeupbyhoor.

Speaking after receiving the award, Insha said the recognition was encouraging and motivating. “It is reassuring to see efforts being acknowledged. The support I have received from family, clients, and well-wishers has played a major role in my journey,” she said.

She added that dedication and continuous learning were key to building a career, irrespective of the field. “Every profession deserves respect when pursued with honesty and commitment,” she said.

Insha also encouraged young women to consider skill-based careers and entrepreneurship. “With consistency and hard work, there are opportunities to grow and contribute meaningfully to society,” she added.
