Srinagar: Police in Shopian have seized “huge quantity” of contraband substances from residential houses in Thiaran Kandi Keller area of Shopian.
A police spokesperson informed that acting on specific information, Police Station Keller registered a case and accompanied by the Executive Magistrate, raided the residential premises of Mohammad Shafi Khanday at Thraina Kandi Keller.
During the search, 10.283 kgs of cannabis-like substance was recovered from the house yard and accordingly seized. Similarly, 1.582 kgs of crushed cannabis-like substance was recovered from the residential premises of Irshad Ahmad Khanday of Thraina Kandi Keller and the same was seized, and the accused arrested. Further investigation is underway
