Srinagar: A seven-year-old girl died after being hit by a motorcycle in Kakapora area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday, officials said.
Quoting an official, news agency KNO reported that the girl was hit by a motorcycle while crossing the road outside her home in Pahoo locality of Kakapora.
He said that girl, identified as Areeba, daughter of Nazir Ahmad Bhat, was taken to PHC Kakapora in critical condition, wherefrom she was referred to SMHS Hospital Srinagar.
“She was declared dead on arrival at the hospital,” he said.
Police have taken cognisance and a probe has been launched in this regard.
