Jammu: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah arrived in Jammu today for the biannual Darbar Move and was greeted by a large crowd of residents. Traders and members of civil society welcomed him warmly at Shahidi Chowk and Raghunath Bazar.
The Chief Minister interacted with the public during his visit, listening to their concerns and appreciating their hospitality. He was later received with a Guard of Honour at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu, marking the formal opening of the government’s winter session in the city.
The Darbar Move, a long-standing administrative tradition in Jammu and Kashmir, shifts the government offices between Srinagar and Jammu twice a year to ensure equal governance access for both regions.
Taking to Social media CM Omar Abdullah posted, that I was humbled to receive a warm and rousing welcome from the people of Jammu as I arrived for the biannual Darbar Move today and interacted with traders and members of civil society at Shahidi Chowk and Raghunath Bazar, before being received with a Guard of Honour at the Civil Secretariat in Jammu: CM Omar Abdullah (KNS)
