Srinagar: Police have recovered nearly four kilograms of cannabis from a residential house in Shopian, a police spokesperson informed Tuesday.
He said acting on “reliable information”, a police party from Police Station Zainapora accompanied by the Executive Magistrate raided the residential house of Bilal Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Shaban Sheikh of Urpora Nagbal and recovered 3.842 Kgs of cannabis from it.
A case has been registered at Police Station Zainapora under relevant sections of law. Further investigation is in progress to trace the forward and backward linkages of the accused, police said.
