Srinagar: A 25-year-old man was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Wazir Bagh area of Srinagar on Thursday.

The deceased has been identified as Raju, a resident of Guwahati, Assam, who was working as a salesman at a shop near LD Hospital in Wazir Bagh, news agency JKNS quoted officials as saying.

Raju was found in an unconscious state and was immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, officials said.

The cause of death remains unknown at this stage, they added.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and further investigations are underway.
