Srinagar: A police personnel was injured on Friday in an accidental fire from his service rifle while on Amarnath Yatra duty in Anantnag district, officials said.
Service rifle of Selection Grade Constable Shabir Ahmad, presently deployed for yatra duty, went off accidentally at Pahalgam in the south Kashmir district, they said.
Ahmad was shifted to Pahalgam Hospital.
