PULWAMA: District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) Pulwama, in collaboration with the Civil Defence and SDRF component Pulwama/Awantipora, successfully conducted Capacity Building Programmes (CBP) on Disaster Preparedness and Response at Town Halls of Pulwama and Awantipora.
The programmes aimed to enhance the knowledge and preparedness of attendees in handling natural and man-made disasters.
Comprehensive training and awareness sessions were conducted on key aspects viz. Disaster Preparedness, Disaster Mitigation, Disaster Response, First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Techniques, and the effective utilisation of available resources during emergencies.
Participants received practical and theoretical insights into life-saving techniques and efficient response strategies, equipping them to act promptly and effectively in the event of a disaster.
