Srinagar: Police in Anantnag have arrested a drug peddler and recovered a “significant quantity” of contraband from his possession, a police spokesperson informed Saturday.
He said at a checkpoint at Srihama Hospital Crossing, police apprehended one Altaf Ahmad Dar alias Ali Commando, son of Asadullah Dar of Sirhama and recovered 1.2 kg of cannabis powder from his possession.
A case has been registered at PS Srigufwara under relevant sections for further investigation.
