Srinagar: The President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Dr. Farooq Abdullah Friday emphasized the party’s unwavering dedication to addressing the challenges faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

During discussions with various public and individual delegations at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Dr. Abdullah listened attentively to the concerns raised by the visiting groups. He assured them that their issues would be brought to the attention of the concerned ministers and urged them to maintain contact with their local MLAs for further assistance.

He asked the party MLAs to maintain public outreach efforts in order to identify and address the issues faced by the people in their constituencies. “It is imperative that the public outreach programme be sustained, with MLAs actively engaging with their constituents. As the winter season approaches, it is crucial for MLAs to assess the condition of electric transformers in their areas. Regular visits to local schools, healthcare centers, and PDS stores are essential. It is the responsibility of MLAs to ensure that essential utility services are consistently provided to the people.”

Later in the day Dr. Farooq Abdullah offered Friday congregational prayers at Asar-e-Sharif Dargah Hazratbal. MLA Eidgah and Pro-Tem speaker Mubarak Gul accompanied him to the shrine. Together they prayed for lasting peace and prosperity in J&K, Ladakh.
